KHDK beginsā¦ It feels like a long time ago. We grew up taking odd jobs and saving money to buy gear. We grew up trading guitar pedals to try out as many as possible. Origin Effects
ABOUT ORIGIN EFFECTS Origin Effects was founded in 2012, but the story starts a few years earlier with a single home-made pedal. After playing through a pair of Urei 1176 studio compressors he was repairing, company founder Simon Keats set about designing a pedal that could produce the same impeccable sound, surpassing that of other stompbox compressors. The result would eventually become the Cali76, and the response that its first incarnation got from other musicians convinced Simon that there was a need for genuinely high-quality, studio-grade guitar pedals. This desire to make the best possible products has informed the complete Origin Effects lineup, from industry-leading compressors to ground breaking amp-inspired overdrive pedals. All share the same quality and attention to detail that has garnered artist endorsements, rave reviews, and fantastic feedback from the guitar-playing community. As our range and reputation has grown, so too has the Origin Effects team, with each member of staff united by a genuine enthusiasm for the products and for making music. Rock N Roll Relics
Rock N Roll Relicsā Billy knows a thing or two about what makes a killer guitar. Well he would, wouldnāt he? After growing up and learning his licks from the classic rock of the ā70s, the San Francisco native ended up right there in the middle of the 1980s rock explosion that first lit up Hollywoodās Sunset Strip, then blew out the entire worldās speakers. Stringjoy
Why Strings? Why not make guitars, or pedals ā yāknow, something a little moreā¦fun. Well, the fact that people ask that is exactly why we make strings. See, guitars are fun. Amps are fun. Pedals are tons of fun. But strings? For most folks thatās just something you grab off the rack ā an excuse to go to the guitar shop down the street and check out all the gear thatās a little more, well ā fun. Strings are way, way more important than people think. When you play the guitar, youāre really playing the strings. You manipulate the length or tension of each string to create a given pitch. That pitch resonates through the wood of the guitar or engages the electromagnetic field of your pickups to create the sound you know and love. If you were to write the true signal chain of an electric guitar tone, it would go something like this: Strings > Wood > Pickups > Electronics > Cable > Pedal > Cable > Pedal > Cable > (etc) > Amp > Speaker > Microphone > Cable > Preamp > Outboard Effects > DAW/Speaker System. Notice where that all started? The strings. Yeah ā theyāreā¦

Gretsch
With its emphasis on hand-craftsmanship and commitment to quality over a storied 135 years and counting, Gretsch has pioneered new designs and manufacturing techniques, winning endorsements from some of the music industryās most respected artists, including Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Billy Duffy, Bono, Duane Eddy, George Harrison, Brian Setzer, Stephen Stills and Malcolm Young. It all began in 1883, when 27-year-old Friedrich Gretsch, a German immigrant, founded his shop in Brooklyn, New York, and began to make banjos, drums and tambourines. Only 12 years later Friedrich died, leaving the fledgling company in the hands of his teenage son Fred. While it may be an unlikely start for a century-plus long musical legacy, young Fred wasnāt the typical teen. By 1916 he had built the company into one of Americaās leading importers and manufacturers of musical instruments, and the operations moved into a 10-story building at 60 Broadway in Brooklyn. Fred knew that listening to what the public wanted was the key to growth, and the public wanted guitars. So, Gretsch began making guitars ā initially offering acoustic archtops aimed at jazz musicians, and a handful of flat-tops for country-western performers. Meanwhile, 1935 marked an important year for the company āā¦

About LarrivĆ©e This is our song Today, we are a new generation of talented guitar makers ā building instruments as extraordinary and unique as the people who craft them ā and who play them. We are inspired by the passion and guided by the lifetime of experiences of our leader, Jean LarrivĆ©e, whose legendary craftsmanship still finds its way into every guitar that bears his name. Our guitars are built with only the finest solid woods available ā no plys, laminates (layered), or synthetic woods are ever used in construction. We use FSC wood and engage in as much selective logging as possible. This means we like to be there, in the forest, personally taking part. Imagine, when we begin to create your instrument, we begin on the forest floor. Above all, our goal is āaffordable luxuryā ā we aim to put high-end guitars into the hands of all players. We donāt want to build the most guitars. We want to build the best.

ESP
ESP has come a long way since it was founded in the back of a Tokyo music store in 1975. Originally specializing in high-end replacement and upgrade parts, the companyās work got so popular that guitarists and bassists started clamoring for us to build complete instruments. We listened, and the result was an excellent line of guitars and basses thatās still going strong today, four decades later. Musicians of all styles have come to swear by ESP, but theyāre especially sought-after for metal and rock. Just look at Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory for example: theyāre only two of the many high-profile musicians who rock it out on an ESP guitar. More interested in a bass? Youāll find plenty of ESP action there, too, in the hands of bassists like Kampfarās Jon Bakker and Ill NiƱoās Lazaro Pina. The bottom line is that if youāre looking for examples of ESP instruments played on the A-list stage, you wonāt have to look far to find them.

Victory Amplification
Our Story Victory Amplifiers are born in England, where they are proudly designed and built by our committed team of engineers and craftspeople. We value simplicity in operation, flexibility in use and absolutely no compromise in tone. Our aim is simple: to create amplifiers that inspire you ever onwards in your playing and never let you down. Our head designer is Martin Kidd who is well known in British amplification circles. He heads up a modern-boutique approach to design and specification. We use meticulously hand-wired tag boards where we feel that method offers the biggest tonal benefits, alongside printed circuit boards where they make most sense. We never compromise on components, from caps and resistors, pots and switches, right through to our custom designed transformers. Victory Amps always deliver excellent value for money. Thatās partly because theyāre designed and built to sound great and be professionally roadworthy, but also because Victory does not use third-party distribution channels. We have our amps shipped directly from our manufacturing facility to dealers, which enables us to keep prices extremely competitive when compared with other boutique and custom builders. But donāt take our word for it ā visit a Victory Dealer and let ourā¦

LarrivƩe
Patrick James Eggle Guitars
Born in St Albans, England in 1964, the third child of a building engineer and woodwork enthusiast father and an artist mother, Patrick was encouraged by his parents and his school woodwork teacher to build his first guitar as a project. Dissatisfied with the results, he pulled it apart and started work on another, then anotherā¦. An obsession was born! Over the decades Patrick has gained a reputation for designing and building some of the finest guitars in the world, some of which have been owned by icons such as Toni Iommi, Albert Lee and Rory Gallagher to name a very few. Ā His instruments feature regularly in world press and his opinions and expertise are sought out by institutions such as the BBCā¦ He is a popular speaker at guitar exhibitions and music shows. In the Early nineties Patrick ran guitar production at the Company in Coventry, England which bore his name. Ā In 1994 he parted company and has been working and trading independently ever since, living and working in both the UK and the USA. Now husband and father, these days, he works with a small team of craftsmen, producing a limited number of high end electric guitars fromā¦
Billy played rhythm and slide guitar in Jetboy, one of the pioneer acts of the incredible scene that spawned Guns Nā Roses and Poison. Jetboy were tight with all of them, and were equal darlings of the Hollywood scene. But there always has to be a hard luck tale in any rockānāroll saga ā and Jetboy was it. Bad timing and plain bad luck meant that despite major label albums, Jetboy never scaled the heights of their peers ā but stadium rockās loss is the guitar playerās gain. After decades as a touring musician and tech, Billy Rowe had shredded guitars and rebuilt them over and over. Recognizing that he had plenty to offer the world of guitar making, Billy launched Rock N Roll Relics in 2005, driven by a passion to hand-build nothing lessā¦

The first step to choosing an ESP of your own will be to decide whether youāre after a guitar or bass. Of course, no one could blame you forā¦
